 Housed in Historic fire Station 3, our Fire Museum shares the beautiful 1927 Mediterranean Revival architecture, historic firefighting equipment and exhibits, and tells the story of the Fort Lauderdale's firefighters service since 1912.

 

Children's Group Fire Safety Programs and Hall Rentals are welcome!

The Mission Of

The Fort Lauderdale Fire & Safety Museum

  • Preserve and display the 1927 architecture and environment of Fire Station 3,
  • Enlighten the public about the history, tradition and service of the Fort Lauderdale Fire Department, and it’s heroes,
  • Teach, in an exciting way, fire, medical and severe weather preparedness,
  • Display significant historical fire service equipment and artifacts,
  • Encourage young people to consider careers in the Fire Service,
  • And to create an additional cultural exhibit to add to the ambience of Fort Lauderdale’s Historic District.
